We lucked into catching the last two days of Cumbres & Toltec's engineers school. They were using K-36 class #484 pulling 9 freight cars and a caboose seen here a couple miles west of Los Pinos.
The daily Antonito-Chama passenger train traverses a barren, tranquil area on it's mountain-climbing route.
