Spencer's Southern E8 and GP30 May 1996
During the Southern Railway Historical Associations Convention The North Carolina Transportation Museum's beautifully restored Southern E8 6900 and GP30 2601 rolls by us a couple of times.

Southern 604 at Spencer NC April 1988
Built in 1926 by Baldwin this Consolidation spent most of its life as the Buffalo Creek & Gauley Number 4. In April 1988 I found her leading a small passenger train on the NCTM's grounds.
