|Remarks: Sometimes, ”when” you want to feel good and free, ”when” you want to relieve some pain from your soul, ”when” you want to get rid of congestion, pollution and urban boorishness, ”when” you want to experience with your video equipment and to play the sky blue shades or those of forest green, simply inflate your tires of your bike, try your brakes, put your hat on and call your best friend, propose him a 30-40 km train-trip with Regio 3003 or Regio 5005 and so ... you fulfill all the "when"s mentioned above.
April 28 was one of the most sunny and warm days of 2012. Although it was Saturday, and Saturday is the day of "not running!" for some trains, but with a 80% off-road and 20% asphalt, we plan the route so to be close to the lead track.
And yes, I wrote in the title: M1000, perhaps the most-traveled railway in Romania, hundreds of trains ”steeling-on-steel” with their wheels, hundreds of trains scaring rabbits, deer or sheep herds, hundreds of trains stopping and starting from the tiny stations of the localities that railway is passing through, while other hundreds of trains are passing by and are been recorded by railway enthusiasts throughout Romania. May it be M1000, may it be M500, may it be M300… and so on.
Travelers, traffic controllers and train drivers stared at us, but others smiled and greeted fondly, as it can be seen in the movie. Together with my friend we traveled 55 kilometers through the woods of Scrovistea, near the Prahova River valley, on the banks of Periş lakes, we passed through hundreds of stones and branches, dozens of pounds of powder, several liters of sweat and much, much, much, much, very much love for cycling, for photography and for... Railway!
