Remarks: At 8:32am on Friday, March 31, 2000, southbound manifest train #320 rolls cross the BNSF diamond in Jasper, Alabama, milepost NA86.5 of the NS NA District, with KCS SD40-2 #661, KCS SD60 #717, and NS SD40-2 #1643 in charge. At the time, KCS was the last Class One railroad in the United States that still used Mars lights on its locomotives.
Beautiful, I grew up with the KCS and there Mars light. I was sad to see them go, along with the white paint job. However the KCS still runs close to me and now I am seeing the new retro belle's on just about every train. Great Work.
