Love it - street running at that speed simply doesn't happen on full size railways in the UK. The only real equivalent we had in the recent past was the Weymouth Quay tramway, but the trains ran at walking pace preceded by men on foot to clear the way. That line effecively closed in 1987 except for the very occasional enthusiast special.

Great clip & variety of power! What predecessor line is this? With the CPL signal it almost to be ex-Pennsy? I pulled up a map & CSX crosses NS in this town? Thanks for any info. & the clip! BTW, that was really moving for street running!

Yeah - their speed surprised me as well...The line is known as the Marion Branch which runs south out of Goshen, Indiana....The line they cross here is the CF&E, ex-Pennsy, and the line itself is ex-NYC, that was re-signalled by Penn Central, thus giving this CTC line the distinction of looking very PRR-like.....all signals are Pennsy position lights on the line, a real nice treat!

The line is ex Conrail Marion Branch old (NYC Big 4). I lived in the next town Claypool were it crosses Norfolk Southerns ex Nickle Plate thats were I got my love for all things trains.

Wow! Not only is that a nice lash-up, but they're running "elephant" style too! Great catch on that EMD leaser... those are becoming more scarce.

That horn sounds like it should be on the BNSF unit!

Nice street run; love the horn. John fron Danville, Va

Beautiful! Street running is my favorite! I like the aspect of the cars, gives it a nice busy feeling and then the train just blasts through. Great horn! I noticed the unit catching some bounce at certain spots, very interesting, a lot going on in this video.

I would love to live in one of those houses... what a wake up call! Thanks for a great video. -Kyle from NJ

Isn't that a little fast for street running?

I also love that horn! It's awesome!

This is a truly awesome video! There is similar street running in Bedford, Indiana too. I have been there a couple times to see an INRD passing through.

That EMD SD60 is almost certainly a BNSF unit - for that matter, it was probably originally ordered for ATSF, and ATSF never painted her up in corporate attire; and neither has BNSF since they acquired it. This would explain the horn. I've seen some of these come through on the BNSF line where I live. Great shot here.
