That's excellent. Police escort, business train, lot's of people out to see to final run. All in the home of locomotive builder General Electric, and Norfolk Southern choses an EMD to lead the last train. About say's it all. Excellent. |

I love the police escort,an SD40-2 leading. Looks as if it could have been a funeral procession for an old railroad legend that has passed away. |

That was awesome. I've never seen a train with police escort like that, not only that, i've never heard of tracks lasting 119 yrs. wow, they knew how to make em last back then. Very good video, in a way kinda, sad though. good job |

Holy cow! It was a parade. They even had an observation car. I'll bet every top dog in Erie was riding on that train. Thanks for sharing this classic. |

They didn't have the F-Units in 2001, or I'm sure they would have used them. At least they used an ex-CR unit for a leader. |
