Remarks: Ten years ago I wouldn't have given this locomotive consist a second look. Nowadays ANY road train with a spartan cab leader is worth shooting, especially with all of the GE and EMD widecab locomotives running around. At 3:12pm on Friday, December 12, 2008, northbound empty grain train #53W roars through the milepost 94.2H grade crossing in Seney, Georgia, on NS's Atlanta North District behind NS C40-8 #8698, NS C40-8 #8693, and NS C39-8E #8687. I'm sure that I'll never see a trio of spartan cab Dash 8s running together again.
