Remarks: My how times have changed! Back in the early 1990s you never knew what kind of locomotive power was going to show up from one train to the next when you railfanned Norfolk Southern. This was the biggest attraction for me when I railfanned NS. There was always that "spark" of excitement of knowing that next train was coming and thinking about the interesting lashup it might have! At 1:12pm on Sunday afternoon, November 13, 1994, southbound intermodal train #I02 rumbles through the milepost 134.7H grade crossing in Austell, Georgia, on NS's Atlanta North District behind NS U23B #3956 and NS SD40-2 #1633. I always liked the very distinct sound the "Baby Boats" made.
