Remarks: The Southbound Piedmont is seen cresting the grade at Hilltop DD on it's way to Charlotte, NC. Looking south from around the bend about 45 minutes later is Northbound 80, the Carolinian with P42DC 9 DIT on the end of the train. #9 had been in Pomona yard dead for about three weeks prior.
