Remarks: Speeding past the site of CNs long gone Sunnyside station, the Canadians three F40s hustle their now empty train to VIAs maintenance centre in west end Toronto (Mimico). Although it’s January, the length of this train is more appropriate for July. Apparently, a previously cancelled Canadian from Vancouver, and the subsequent combining of two train sets at the next departure, explain the anomaly. With a new arrival time into Toronto of 9:30 a.m., this scene is now available in daylight. Previously, the Canadian would make this hop to Mimico for servicing under the cover of darkness.

Impressive sight like the glory days of first class RR passenger service.
