| Remarks: The afternoon at Horseshoe was just getting into full swing, but having nearly filled up a tape I decided to record one more train before switching tapes and locations. The next train to appear was a heavy eastbound merchandise freight led by a healthy 6-unit lashup: SD40-2 3374, SD40-2 3368, SD70M-2 2660, SD70 2539, high-nose SD40-2 3230, and SD40-2 3351. Two more SD40-2s, 3335 and 3357, provided a braking assist from the rear. As the 3335 and 3357 drifted out of sight, they were met by a westbound stack train led by SD70 2557, SD60 6667, and C40-9W 9827. One more lingering look at the containers heading west and then it was off to Cresson and Cassandra. |
