Remarks: Here is another rarely seen part of railroading. This, along with ballast cleaners, are the dirtiest jobs on the railroad! In this case, CSX has contracted with Harsco Inc. to grind the rails on the Fitzgerald Subdivision. With dry conditions due to a lack of rain, both the grinder itself and the two "water" trucks behind it were kept busy putting out fires caused by the sparks.
