Remarks: The Harz Narrow Gauge Railway is one of North Germany's best kept secrets. With 25 operable steam locomotives, the railroad runs on a fixed schedule all year long. The most popular route is from Wernigerode to Brocken, with an elevation change of about 3000 feet! This morning, I saw 9 steamed up locomotives in the yard ready to run!

Great video. I was lucky enough to stay at Drie Annen Hause in the Harz this year and the trains were great.
