Remarks: At 12:32pm on Saturday, September 4, 1999, southbound manifest train #139 has a colorful locomotive consist including SP SD45T-2 #6828, FAIX C30-7 #3604, HLCX SD40-2 #6297, and NS GP38AC #2858 as it grinds through the milepost 104.2H grade crossing just south of Rockmart, Georgia, on NS's Atlanta North District.
That's a nice one, Brian! The post-CR period was insane around Atlanta, with anything showing up on anything, but I don't have to tell you that. My favorite quote from that period was from a long-time NS engineer who was waiting on a road freight to pass to come out on the main, and it had all kinds of rent-a-wrecks, he just shook his head and said "Now THAT's a piece of crap..."
