If you hear what sounds like a jet, it appears that there is one following the train. Look in the upper left portion of the screen as the train is headed away from you. |

Fantastic! Nice video! |

Nice catch on the train (and the jet). I had to watch a couple times to see it. I will say that I wish I was there due to the fact the train had to scream! |

Pacing this in a helicopter would be impossible, too fast! |

Awesome video Jean-Francois. It's the fastest train I ever saw. Thanks for sharing. |

Brings new meaning to taking the green light segment, but I would really like to see that jets video of the TGV! |

Mike -- the video is a little bit fuzzy so its difficult to tell. It looks like either a large bird or a small plane. But it looks too small to be a jet. And the sound definitely reached its climax when the train passed by. I think the jet-like sound we here from planes and the sound we heard here are caused by objects moving at shear speed, not necessarily a jet engine. |

Trainmaster611-
Yes of course, no jet had filmed the train during the TV show report during this record,
Superman was here and had recorded the Train ! |

Actually, there is a jet following the train (in objection to the above post).
View this video http://youtube.com/watch?v=_Ir_n3J5ABA and you will see footage from it. |

Shear speed... Yes indeed, this train is absolutely 'cutting edge'. |

Having taken the TGV in the summer of 1999 from Holland to Paris and back I remember feeling that I was on a jet plane flying high in the sky, as opposed to being on a train. Amazing ride. |

Is there a recorded speed for this train I just viewed moving at an amazing speed? |
Posted by second-b on December 6, 2008
Wow! 348mph! That's what we need in the states. |

In addition to the train sound, you can also hear the stuned comment of the film maker: "putain". For non french speakers it's a sort of "f..k". |
