Remarks: Its August 2nd, 1989, and the B&LE SD18's are in control, and really get down to business to get this northbound train under way. They have just picked up a loaded train out of one of the last remaining mines on the railroad near Harmerville, and it will not be long before the two SD38's shoving hard on the rear have the train up to track speed. The SD40-3 ex-tunnel motors are not even a thought at this time, and will not arive on the property for nearly another 10 years. Just all non-turbo charged EMD's running all out, and smoking it up good. The jingleing you hear as the cars pass by are the outside brake hangers on the old B&LE hoppers. Thanks for watching.
